Swimmy walked in, her eyes were shimmering from the bright light bulbs in the store. She looked around, a small yawn escaping as she closley examinted what they had for sale. Her eyes blinked in a stready pattern, her eyes watered, she was excited, anyone could tell that.
She had blonde hair, it was also shimmering and matched her eyes. She also had... a white tail on her back, it was very beautiful, anyone would say so... She pushed her hair back, and reached into her bookbag, taking out ten posts. She smiled at the man and said, "I'd like to buy twenty pokeballs please."
Her tail wagged as she said this, she seemed to be very excited... by why shouldn't she be happy and excited? She was about to set out on a journey of a life time, a good reason to be excited indeed.
Below her, her little Pokemon was eagerly waiting to leave. She was jumping about, nuzzling Swimmy's side and so on. Swimmy smiled and picked her up, then waited for the response.

Salesman Joe looked up, he had heard the bell for the store ring, and he was quite pleased. He saw before him a young lady, one that looked worthy of going on an adventure, after a nap that is. He swiftly walked to the front of the counter from the old, raggedy chair he was sitting on, and smiled to her...
"Hello Ma'am... twenty pokeballs! Oh my, that's quite alot for... a... you are a beginner correct?" He then studied the girl carefully and started chuckling, "Of course you are, you don't have any badges! Well, you should get some soon, eh?" He then handed twenty pokeballs over the counter and took the twenty posts...
"Thanks Ma'am."

Nero walked into the store, his Charmander at his side. He saw no need to put it back in his pokeball just yet; the empty ball was hanging on his belt, within easy reach if he ever needed to use it. But this left him with no pokeballs with which to catch wild pokemon with, if he ever got around to leaving this stinking town. Oh, it was pretty, but it was boring , and besides- Nero didn't like pretty things other than himself. The vain human walked past the shelves of goods, and stopped in front of the counter. This man looked friendly enough, and there was no sign of whoever had thrown the cane at that weird guy earlier. Reassured, he leaned on his elbows over the counter, but he couldn't bring himself to smile back. He just slid the posts onto the open space in front of him, and said, his tone certain and firm, "I'd like ten Pokealls."
Chrono took this chance to explore the mart. It was rather small, but that meant it wouldn't take him long to look around AND get back to Nero before his master got angry. So he went up and down the asiles, looking at the treats longingly, looking at the pretty stones, ect. He saw other people as well, and felt the jab of lonliness when none seemed to notice him... So it wasn't long before he returned to Nero's side, seeking in vain the reassuring pat from the owner's hand.

Swimmy's tail swished back and forth. She smiled and happily took the twenty pokeballs. She then hastily stuffed them in her bag and put a green leash and collar set on the her new companion. She then slowly set down the leaf pokemon and heard the bell ring behind her. She felt a tug on the leash as her little pokemon ran up to the new customer and scratched at his charmander.
Her eyes widdened as she hasitly picked up the leaf pokemon and left without a word. As she left, the bell run once more to alert the salesman that she had left...

Salesman Joe chuckled as he saw the little Charmander explore the wonderous shop. He then saw the girl's pet scratch at the charmander, and the owner pick it up before running out. He sighed, no one really stayed and talked for awhile anymore... He then looked up, to see Nero.
"Why of course. Ten pokeballs for you!" He took out ten pokeballs and carefully handed them over, one by one, to ensure that they weren't broken and such. "Thank you." He then took the pay in return and placed it in the register...

Mitse stepped up to the store. "5 pokeballs please." She said, handing off the payment.
Uiido took time to stare at the pretty fire stone as it flashed in the sun. She decided she might get in trouble if she touched it, and scurried to Miste.

A young lady entered the store, a Squirtle at her side. Her green eyes were sparkling as she walked right up to the desk and began to speak softly. "He-hello. I'm Elaine, and this is my Squirtle, Virva... I'd...I'd like six pokeballs, please..."
Her ears had flown back in nervousness, and she was greatly blushing. Her tail, normally swaying, was just hanging behind her. "Just came from the Labs, you know... Need to get myself something to use, in case I come across something." Why are you explaining yourself to him?! She thought to herself, embarressed. It was clear she normally didn't talk much...

The salesman smiled as Miste walked in with her pokemon. He picked up five pokeballs and handed it to her, "Thanks for coming." He took his pay in return and placed it in the cash register. He yawned, and sat down in a small chair he had behind the desk. He sighed, and started reading a magazine titled, 'Pokemon Classics.'
Then, the bell had rung again, and another girl was entering the store. He stood up, swiftly, and rubbed his mustache... again. He pulled out six pokeballs and handed them to her. He then said, "Thank you." As he took his pay, once more, "Thanks again Ma'am. Have fun on your venture. Looks like your Squirtle will be a big help. Heh heh, trust me, Squirtles are helpful..."

"Thank you sir." Miste said. Her tail swished as she left, Uiido on her shoulder. Uiido looked at the fire stone once more. It was still shining in the sun from the window.

Nero nodded his thanks, not saying anything else as he left the store. The salsman seemed to be quite chatty, and he wasn't in the mood to chat. So he exited the store, his little Charmander scampering after him. Nero's legs were much, much longer than Chrono's, so the baby had to rush to keep up. But somehow, he managed it. The door swung shut with a click, and the pair were gone.
Nero paused just outside the door to look around, see if the battle was still going on or what. But he wanted to get going... He didn't want to stick around and watch others have all the fun!

Next into the store was a sweet looking girl. She wanted a few things to help her out before she left the city. And, this shop was exactly the place to get such things at. Her outfit was so well kept, it was almost creepy. A tight black long sleeved shirt hugged her midsection, surrounded by a neat silvery vest. A pair of tight black pants adorned her legs nicely. Aah, what a nice outfit, to be completed with a pretty pair of black gloves. A haversack slung over one shoulder was also of a black color... gah, so much black! And, prancing nicely next to her was her best friend, a Vulpix. She loved that Vulpix more than she loved anything. It was her turest friend, and most faithful companion. A glint in it's green, green eyes showed that little devils streak ti had. "Um, sir, I would like 20 Pokéballs for my travels." Silver said, pushing a lock of Silvery hair from her mismatched blue and green eyes. And, that was all she said. She waited just long enough to receive her Pokéballs before leaving the store.

Zevi came in carring her Cutter (doesnt feel like typing it all out). She looked around and pulled out her money. "Lets see ewe have enought for six pokeballs." she said to Cutter who gave a strange grin as if he knew this ment more friends..or rivals.
"Sir, I would like six pokeballs for my adventure please." She stuttered a bit but felt confedent that she didn't sound to childish. Cutter bounced from one foot to the other as he looked around. A vulpix caught his eye. 'Fire...I like fire..its fun to play with.'

The Salesman looked up at her, and nodded. He pulled out twenty pokeballs and passed them to Silver, then took his pokeballs. "My oh my. Another trainer who needed twenty. I wish you luck, Pokemon can be very tricky." When the bell sounded to say she was gone, another girl walked in, wishing to purchase some pokeballs.
He smiled at her, "Why Certainly." He took the pay and passed six pokeballs over the counter, "Have fun.. stay safe... and win your battles to make your Mama and Daddeh proud! Have fun you two Ma'ams!"

A male entered, his hands shoved into the pockets of his baggy camo pants. His tight black shirt held the words,"Free at last, Free at Last" in white letters, followed by a crescent moon and star. His hair was deep black, with the bangs highlighted neon red. A Treecko was at his side as he leaned up against the counter, flashing a smile at the man.
"Six pokeballs, please. Just got out of the Labs, you see... Ceasar is my first. We're both finally free." He blew at his bangs, trying to get them out of his eyes, but they fell back into place. Everyone asked why he didn't just get a haircut... He always replied,'What's the point? It'll grow back in a few weeks...'

The salesman chuckled, "Yes. I remember when I first got my Squirtle... a darling he was... I gave him away though... he bit me... but now, I see him and we are best friends... so I decided to open this shop in honor of him..." The man then chuckled, coming back to reality and brushing his mustache, "Ah yes. Six seems to be a popular number these days." He then handed six pokeballs over the counter and took his pay in return, "Thank you. Come again."

Fang smiled, revealing sharp, pointed teeth that could make even a brave man sweat. What a lucky break it had been. The girl had been heading the PokeMart as well, giving him an oh-so-convenient excuse to accompany her. And sure enough, as he walked in, the old lady looked up, scowled and looked back down. With the girl next to him, he looked every bit like a hired guard. He was going out of his way to look like that, too. This girl was his ticket to get in places where 'civilized' people normally chased him out of.
He sauntered over to the counter, looking slightly smug. "Hello, there," he said, still grinning. "Forty Pokeballs, if you will." He didn't know when he would next get a chance to stock up on items, so it would be best to get a good number now. Besides, after this, he hoped to leave the god-forsaken town. Maybe with some luck, the girl would be leaving too. She might be an annoying little girl, but she was literally his meal ticket. Otherwise, he'd be chased out of any restaurant or grocery store he hoped to visit.

"And, I'll take twenty-two pokeballs." She said softly from beside him, picking up her new Zigzagoon and hugging him to her chest. Elaine felt her heart soar. The second she got these pokeballs, she was heading to the hills.... It was time to really start her journey. She got the feeling that Fang didn't really want to travel with her...So she hoped he had some plans in the city.

The shopkeeper smiled at them and chuckled, "Alright. Since your ordered seperate, I am assuming you are paying seperate." He pulled out fourty pokeballs and handed them to Fang after taking his pay. Then, her reached in the cabinet and took out twenty two for Elaine, and put his pay in the register once more.
He sat in his chair and chuckled, "Young love..."

As he was waiting on the man to give them their Pokeballs, he attempted to make small talk with the girl. With smooth talking, possibly, and a bit of luck, she might be his traveling companion at least to the next city. He liked the way people looked at him when he was with her. Grudging respect rather than out and out hatred. Somehow, he had transformed from demon to dangerous body guard in their eyes, and he liked it. It also made them assume that the girl was rich and/or important, to have a body guard as scary as him trailing her around.
"So, where are you going after this?" he said in an offhand manner. He accepted the Pokeballs, and opened his mouth for a thank you, but was cut off by the man's last comment. Young WHAT?! Was it even worth correcting the man? Yes. Yes it was. "I think you're mistaken sir. I was merely accompanying the young lady to the PokeCenter and here." He glanced back at the old lady with the cane. "You never know when someone's going to throw a large piece of wood at you, after all."

Elaine waited for her pokeballs as well, and responded with a,"To the Hills... I've spent too much time in the city." She glanced down to her Zigzagoon, who was staring around the store with wary eyes. Virva, used to it, was simply sitting behind Tala and waiting.
When she received her pokeballs, she shifted her bag to the counter to place in her own when she heard the man's comment as well. Her face turned a new shade of red as her stutter came back, with emberressment in her voice. "M-m-me?! W-w-with h-h-him?! S-sir, y-you a-are s-sorely mis-mistaken." She felt the familiar feeling in her legs, telling her to run. "H-he was j-just a-accompanying m-me."

Fang placed a firm hand on her shoulder and steered the stammering girl out of the store before the bumbling idiot behind the counter could say anything else. He didn't need her having a panic attack or something... What a flighty kid. "I am going into the hills as well," he commented as they left. "Perhaps we should travel together? There is safety in numbers, after all. That is, of course, if you want to." He said it as though it was a casual, offhand suggestion, and he didn't really care either way, despite the fact that his way of life teetered in the balance of what she next said. Eating at a restaurant and shopping like a normal person, or stealing whatever he needed... and dodging canes.

The man chuckled... "'Course you are. Just companying teh lady. I know your kind boy... I was like you... I 'companied' a girl to a city too. Yups, married, four kids... each one pokemon trainers too, just like their Ma and Pa." He picked up his book and began to read, "You may think you don't like each other now... but you should just wait... see what the future brings." He glanced over the book, his beady eyes went from Elaine to Fang, "You never know..."
He watched the boy steer the girl out of the store, "Yupp... they'll be married in a few..."

Zevi came back into the store, this time Cutter walked along beside her.He was somewhat stronger now. "Yes, I would like eight pokeballs." She said, her stutter almost completely gone.
Cutter played with an already owned pokeball, he batted it with his paw and ran to the otherside and batting it back. He had a game he could teach Chono, or the next friend he meets. Or both.

The shopkeeper looked up and nodded, "Yes Ma'am...." He reached in a cabinet and pulled out eight pokeballs and handed them to Zevi one by one. He took his pay in return, "Thanks Ma'am. Do come again, visiters are always appreciated." He the returned to his seat and stuck his nose in the book. He started reading again, and awaited the next, daring customer.
