They had beaten the gym leaders and walked out alive, That was a good sign anyways. Reisei decided to pal around with Silver, even allowing himself into a Pokéball, for even if just a short time. Nothing could be better. The mountains were perfect and serene, the day was weening into a beautiful moonlit night. And, Silver and Dusty were togather, which was one of the best parts of it all. As much as she hated to admit it, she'd frown attached to him. Very attached. "It's pretty, isn't it?" She said, looking up at the mountains. Chiri followed her as usual, and he gave a coo of agreement. They really were pretty. And, possibly riddled with pretty Pokémon on top of it all. Astra was falling asleep on Silver's shoulder. He was really tired, and sleeping seemed like a great idea. Every once and a while, he jerked himself awake again, just to nod off in a few seconds more. Mokona was in good spirits today. She was paddling along the road happily, next to her lover of course. She had gotten to battle in the most recent gym fight, and it made her proud to show off her skills like that. Reisei had never fought as hard as he just had beating Joyslen for Silver. He knew he could prove himself, and he did. Now he was just one of the group again.

Dusty’s blue eyes reflected the dying sun. Yes, as Silver was thinking, today had been a good day. He even convinced her to go out to the mountain instead of staying the night in town. He disliked staying the night in town. Too many people, too many fees. But here, in the wilderness, it was just himself and Silver. He liked it that way, very much. “It’s nice out here…” He said, not really paying attention. He was too distracted in his own daydream to pay much heed to her words… that could be dangerous for him later. “Kadabra.” She sighed. How weird could one boy be? Look at him; just staring at Silver like that… it was weird, just plain old weird. Then again, she stared too sometimes. Her eyes had to be diverted from time to time… she’d become rather attached to that beautiful Vulpix over their time together. Scyther was at it again, darting around happily. Though, she seemed to calm down around that little Ralts. Something about his very aura was calming. It was a nice touch. His Nidoran was following the girl he so adored. It was so cute, the two of them. He stopped very quickly to pull a berry from a nearby branch. Skittering to catch up again, he carried it in his mouth. Once he reached Mokona, he handed the sweet little treat to her. “Vii.” Vibrava giggled, watching them. She half-flew and half walked the rocky mountain trail.

“Gah…” she shook her head. He was obviously in his own little world again. Then, a little sparkle caught her eye. To their left was a beautiful stream. She stopped to look into it for a second before coming to a conclusion, “Hey, Dusty, this steam… it seems to go all the way to the top where we’re headed. Maybe Miro and Ryu would like a little exercise?” She immediately let Mirokarosu from his Pokéball into the stream. It seemed big enough to support him just fine. “Mii” He called, giving Silver a little nuzzle. He was happy to be out again for a little fun and water play. Chiri gave Miro a warm welcome. He had been watching the cute little Modoki, but now his attention shifted. “Vuuul!” She called happily. How pretty he was in the waning sunlight. ‘I never got a chance to thank you.’ Reisei gave a little bow toward Miro. The Milotic had, after all, saved his life. ‘I would like to say this now. I appreciate what you did for me.’ ‘No need to worry. I did it for the pursuit of goodness. You needed help, and I helped, I shall only hope you return the favor someday.’ Miro gave his long winded answer. ‘Of course.’ It was all that Reisei managed to come up with as a response. “Ran.” Mokona cooed. How sweet of Modoki to give her a berry! It was so tasty too! She didn’t even care who was staring at her; she was too in love to care.

“Huh? Oh, right… here you go.” He tossed Gyarados into the large stream. It was huge, and quite nice at that. Dusty watched Silver as all this went on. She seemed so happy with Miro, and so happy whenever she could please her Pokémon. It was wonderful, to see her in such bliss. It was good to be in the water again, she decided. “Guyah!” She called, looking down at Miro. He was still so pretty… too pretty. She had trouble staring at him, as she knew it was bad to stare. She felt almost embarrassed for her feelings toward him… almost. ‘Well, you seem to get along well…’ Vibrava watched the Nidorans. They were just too cute! ‘Uhh… if you say so…’ Modoki didn’t know how to deal with such a friendly Pokémon… not many were friendly to him and Mokona. They’d always lived a life of stark loneliness. People warming up to him unnerved him quite some bit. Taijutu just smiled and continued on her way. She felt his unease, and decided not to challenge it. And now, Argente was left out. She always felt kind of left out… nobody seemed to want to have nice conversations with her. Nobody seemed to want to be around her… nobody loved her like they loved Miro… ‘Hey…’ Kiishii lighted down beside the Kadabra. She noticed the unease and tried to help the best she could, ‘Want something?’ ‘No, I’m fine…’ Her eyes cast away in sadness. ‘If you insist…’ Scyther didn’t want to push it. She was smarter than she seemed.

“Are you okay?” Silver tipped her head, tapping Dusty lightly. He was acting really strangely lately. It made her nervous. For some reason… he wanted the two of them to go out tonight, and not stay in town. Weird, it seemed, but she would abide by his wishes. She liked to see him happy as much as she liked to see her in the same state. “Vul.” Chiri cooed. Reisei and Miro had become rather good companions. It was nice… just like he and Astra -they were developing a bond. Those bonds would be helpful, especially as the road became more dangerous ahead. Miro turned toward Rykuro. ‘My long time friend. So nice ot see you again.’ He smiled, rubbing his head against her chin nicely. He loved her, he really did. Reisei watched. These were such interesting creatures. They had such interesting affairs… it was fun to watch. The world in the wild wasn't quite the same, or quite as interesting as this was. Mokona blushed, and looked up, 'Yes, he's my friend. We are quite friendly.' She replied, making herself look completely blissfully ignorant. But, really she waas being sarcastic. Though, only Modoki and herself could pick up the very subtle tone.

“Hey, let’s get moving…” Dusty said, avoiding her questions. He just wanted to get going for now. He wasn’t about to go telling Silver that he was obsessed with her… and the reason he’d not been paying attention. “We want to head out before dark, yes?” He gave a weak smile. Modoki gave Mokona a little cuddle. She was just too darned cute! “Ra! Ra, ran!” He cooed, happily. For a little pink guy, he wasn’t so bad. Though, his level made it seem as if he should have evolved already… Maybe he didn’t want to. That was okay too, though. He was just fine as he was, all cute and tiny. Though, Dusty would have surely been happier with him as a large Nidorino. 'I... Nice to see you again too.' Rykuro nodded. She rather did like this Milotic, just as much as he liked her, actually. She flicked her tail, a flirty gesture among Gyaradoses. 'Thanks anyway, for the offer...' Argente said softly, looking at the ground as they began to head forward. 'I... you know I'm always here for you, right?' Khishii flicked her wings, and started to fly forward slowly to keep up. This was so unlike her! 'Thanks...' Kadabra sighed. She knew that Khi meant well, but it just wasnt helping much. "Vii..." Taijutu watched in silence until then. He wondered what exactly was going on here. When you get a lot of Pokémon togather, they seemed to interact rather strangly.

“Yea, we need to tackle this heck of a mountain!” She giggled, starting to run forward. “You know, I bet you I can reach that tree before you!” she smirked, starting to run. She knew something was up with Dusty, but hopefully there little game would make it a bit easier for him. She didn’t want to intrude on his privacy, after all. “Vul!” Chiri immediately looked up, and then darted after Silver. She cooed loudly in a ‘Don’t forget me!’ sort of way. His tails swished madly as his four feet hit the ground quickly. Ooh, good, he was catching up! “Bii!” Swablu fluttered his wings ecstatically. He’d stayed on Silver’s shoulder, and nearly fallen off! Sure that he could just fly back up, but sheesh! Silver could be a little more careful, eh? Though, the ride was fun. Come to think of it, it was very likely that he would eventually be the mount to this neat girl. That would be nice. ‘C’mon, let us play along, yes?’ Miro turned back to take a look at Rykuro before dipping his head into the water and darting forward. He was quick in the water alright, this was his element. Like a beautiful shooting star, his silvery tendrils and wavered in the water. Everything he did was beautiful. ‘Catch me!’ Mokona cried, waggling her little tail and beginning into a run. She wanted to play too. And, surely Modoki would catch her, right? Well, even if he didn’t want to, he would. That’s how lovers worked. Reisei crooked his head at first, and started after the party at an averagely fast pace. He didn’t feel the need to run. If Silver wanted to run, then let her, but he had a feeling she wouldn’t leave him to far behind.

“Wh---wait!” Dusty called, frozen for a second before he started to run as well. “That’s no fair, you started before me!” He panted, almost reaching their destination. Oh man, Silver was so fast! But, he was easily as fast as she. He only hoped he was quicker. “Scyther!” Khishii shouted, flying toward with great speed. She liked this game. She was fast, and full of energy, this was her sort of fun! Wheee! Vibrava flew up to Dusty’s shoulder just in time. He was almost missed him! Phew, that was close. Well, he would have flown himself all the way… but that didn’t sound all that pleasant. He’d much prefer a ride. ‘Heh, good luck beating me!’ And like a bullet, she shot through the water after Mirokarosu. She would get him if it killed her! No way was he better than her! Kyah! She was a powerful swimmer if there ever was one. Even as a Magikarp, she was a strong swimmer. ‘Oh, you bet I will!’ Modoki wiggled his ears and scurried after her. He liked this game, it always ended in him tackling Mokona, and getting an affectionate nuzzle from her. It was very nice. Argente moved up to walk with Rei. She saw no reason to run either. She was a psychic type, and running wasn’t her game as much as it was the Nidorans’ or Khishii’s. She continued on, slowly cantering forward. It was quite nice to take a slow stroll up the mountain.

“Heh, you’re good…” Silver gasped, reaching for breath. She’d run so fast! It was amazingly tiring. She panted over and over… gah! Dusty was fast… and they ended up tying anyway! Oh well, they had traveled quite a distance. It was very cold up here, in the snow. Luckily, the sky decided not to let the snow down upon them. “Vuuul.” Chiri flopped over next to Silver. By the stars, that was one hellava run! He was panting just as fast as Silver. The cold made him happy, it was refreshing. After that hot and sweaty run, a plop in the snow felt wonderful. Astra was happy. He didn’t have to strain himself, and his soft feathers and cottony wings protected him just fine from the heat. He started to sing a cheerful song, to keep spirits high. Today was a good day, and it would fade into a beautiful night. Miro had just nearly beaten Rykuro up the river, which began to widen as they went up. Perfect, very perfect. ‘Well, you had a good shot, but you know nobody can catch me.’ He flirted subtly with the Gyarados. How cute. ‘I can’t go on anymore!’ Mokona giggled, force-tackling Modoki. She was always so cute and playful. One had to wonder when her batteries would wear out. But, she was so adorable… though it was bound to get annoying at some point. ‘Grrr!’ She giggled again, chewing softly on his ear as a playful gesture. ‘I don’t get it…’ Reisei finally said to Argente. Maybe the other slowly moving psychic Pokémon would understand him… then again, maybe not. She did seem to understand these people better than him. And, especially Dusty, she seemed to know him better than her.

“You too… boy, you’re faster then you look…” He breathed, sitting his butt in the cold snow. He leaned against the tree the rested on warily. That was fun… and he got a good look at Silver as he chased her. Her tight, sinewy muscles pulling and moving in a serene grace as she ran. It was awe inspiring… at least to him. “Sc-Scy!!” Scyther cried in panic. KODOOF! She ran right into the tree. Ow… A shattering of snow and pine needles flew down upon her and Dusty. He wasn’t very happy about it obviously, as he swore under his breath. “Scy…” She sighed. She didn’t mean to hurt or upset him in any way… it just sorta happened. She couldn’t help her klutziness. ‘I was close!’ She called, slapping her tail on the cold water. It didn’t seem to bother Miro, but she was awful cold. Well, her flying nature probably didn’t help that much. But, her scales were hard as steel, which was helpful. She could be a lot worse off. ‘Ack!’ Modoki wiggled away from her… or, attempted to. He didn’t get very far, as she kept climbing all over her, and chewing on his ear. ‘Stop it, stop it!’ He giggled; it tickled him very much. His tail began to flick madly, and he tried ever harder as she kept atop him. ‘They are like… they are like… like a pack of wild Eevee, they must interact and play seemingly silly games. They try to please each other by doing such silly activities, though I do not know exactly why.’ Argente began to explain. ‘It’s a very complex thing, a human being.’ She gave the younger Reisei a pat with her three-clawed hand.

With the tree and snow fell a soft little blue pluff ball. It was a cute little mock up of the world’s very most powerful icy bird. It was… a young Articuno? How could that be… weren’t the legendary birds… sterile? Well, there it was… a mini Articuno. It’s little head ruff had but one feather, and it’s tail was still long and beautiful as ever. It’s feathers were fluffy and soft. And, it looked about the size of Mokona, maybe smaller. But… it was cuuuuute! A teeny weak growl echoed along with the fall of the tiny Articuno. What was that? Another baby? It seemed yellowish for the most part. It was… oh my it was a Raikou! Teensy black stripes patterned its yellow fur, and a little ball of purple fuzz protruded from its neck. This was most defiantly a Raikou. There it was, the ancient legendary thunder beast, Raikou. But, it was so tiny! Like a little puppy! A normal one was over the height of a normal human at its shoulder. But, look at this little guy, about the size of a newborn Eevee pup. Dusty and Silver were the luckiest people in the world. The klutz of a Scyther had unlocked legends of extraordinary power!

“Woah!” Silver gasped, throwing herself forward to catch the baby bird. What the heck was it? “…Gotcha!” She cried, hitting the ground, but ending out triumphant with a bird in her arms. The snow was cold, and she was now soaked in it, but she saved it, and was proud. “Vul?” Chiri asked, peeking at the bird. She made a little noise as if to say, ‘What is that…?’ She’d heard about this before. It was the legendary bird of ice, often showing itself to travelers in the mountains, and saving their lives. But… it was so tiny! How does a tiny bird get such a reputation? It didn’t add up. “Bli!!” Swablu jumped up in fear of the falling snow. He was skittish, usually too much so for his own good. Well, hopefully that would change by the time he was a majestic Altaria. Yea, by then, he’d be big and strong… and no longer afraid. ‘I wonder what that is…’ Mirokarosu flicked his tail as he spoke. It was an interesting looking blue puff, though he couldn’t see details well from where he was. Silver seemed to be rather worried about the little pluff, as she dove pretty far to catch it. ‘Huh?’ Mokona got up to get a better look at their situation. Was that a baby bird? It was just a smidgeon smaller than her! She sat there atop Modoki, looking forward and stopping her antics for a while. What was going on? ‘They are interesting creatures, I’ll admit.’ Reisei tilted his head up as he was patted, ‘But they seem to be very caring and noble creatures all the same.’ He came to his conclusion as he saw Silver’s dive.

“…Aie!” Dusty stumbled over himself and Silver to snatch the puppy. He cradled it in his arms as he looked into its cute red eyes. He was lucky… and so was it. He was there to catch the falling thunder master -It worked out well for the both of them. “Scyther…” Khishii said in an exhausted tone. Her head hurt, she was covered in snow, and her master was angry with her. This wasn’t good… She didn’t even notice the minute legends falling down upon them. ‘Looks important, whatever they are.’ Rykuro squinted her red eyes to try and get a better look at the yellowish and bluish blobs that fell from the sky. How peculiar. This was an odd situation if there ever was one… ‘What is it? I can’t see! Lemme out! This isn’t fair!’ Modoki squeaked, wiggling frantically. He couldn’t get up! Darn you Mokona! Move your tush! Eventually, though he managed to wiggle her off and take her ‘Yes. I can say… that every time I have been in trouble, the boy has helped me out. We have quite a bond, you know. One day, you will have such a bond with the Silver one. You and her will be closer than you can even now understand. Just wait and see.’ Argente gave her two cents to the conversation.

“You’re so cute!” Silver cuddled her little bird close. It didn’t object. The total awe of the situation didn’t hit to her just yet. The thing she held in her hands was so serene and magical… and she knew not. To her, it was but a cuddle little blue bird. The idea of it being a master of ice, and a sovereign of the lost was beyond her. She was just a girl, covered in snow, and holding a little puffball. “Vuuul.” Chiri stepped closer to Silver once she sat up. He climbed up into her lap for a better look. There he sat, staring into the eyes of an adorable yet almost scary beast. Articuno looked at Chiri with equal wonderment. She’d never seen a critter like this before. He was a handsome little fox if there ever was one. Articuno was in a state of high confusion at the moment, even without the green-eyed wonder staring her down. She had fled into the mountains with Raikou… all to escape her kidnappers. She was born in the mountain, and she wished to find something of the remnants of the life she once had. Though, nothing could be found. The parent that had raised her moved on, after the attack that enslaved her. She had nothing, save the little electric boy that she had been captured with. He came from somewhere far away, apparently, and didn’t mind going home with his new friend. Swablu was no longer filled with fear, but now curiosity. He wanted to know everything about what was around her. He was in awe, and yet intrigued by the critter, nearly his size. It seemed lonely, that much he could tell. How sad, to be lonely. ‘Yea… hopefully, they’re safe.’ Miro cooed, watching. Slowly, he wrapped his tail around Rykuro. It was a gesture of affection, and he hoped she’d appreciate it. His blue eyes watched her as she moved. She seemed ever watchful of her friends, and the newcomers. ‘Ever so sorry.’ Mokona said, knocked off of Modoki. ‘I was distracted is all.’ She gave a faint smile like gesture. Truly, she was so caught up in seeing the puffy thing, she’d forgotten he was under her. How absent-minded of her. ‘If you think so… you must be right. I don’t have much experience myself.’ Rei continued watching Silver and Dusty. He wanted to know everything about these humans. He thirsted for knowledge that was so close to his grasp… and yet so far away. “Dusty… it’s getting late… Let’s sleep…” Silver yawned, fetching the pillow they slept on. Under a nearby tree was a place with no new snow. Perfect to spend the night under. She toddled over to it, and sat the pillow down, and the new bird atop it. After Dusty got the blanket, and they worked everything out, she’d be fast asleep.

“What are you?” Dusty tilted his head, looking at the pup closely. He couldn’t determine anything about it, save its gender. It was sorta cute, though Dusty would never admit such a thing aloud. He was too much of a ‘manly man’ to want to call it cute and give it a cuddle as Silver did. Though, he rather enjoyed how happy she looked about it. He enjoyed her happiness almost as much as his own. “Scy?” Khishii fluttered above Dusty, looking down at Raikou. She was curious too; they all were in a sense. Her fumble had dropped this little lightning king into Dusty’s lap… and now she wanted to know what it was. “Rai…” Raikou growled softly. His head was spinning. One minute, he was being taken from him home. The next, he was at this horrible place with a strange blue bird. Then, the critter had suggested a plan of escape. They followed the plan, and ended out in the mountains. The tree seemed a safe place to sleep during the day as the night unfolded. That night, they planned more travel… but the he was awoken in a sudden jolt. From there, he was in a pair of warm hands. A long few days, this boy had. ‘Yes… safe…’ Rykuro was off in her own little world by now. The gentle touch of Miro enticed her into a daydream… the two of them, together. It was so pleasant, one could almost forget about the legendaries entirely. ‘I’m okay… hey! You know what those are? I think I remember something like the yellow one, back home…’ Modoki concluded. Though, the one her remembered was much bigger, and a lot less cute. It was a huge scary dog… it showed up to stop an attack on their homeland, not too long before Dusty picked him up. ‘One day, you will understand. Some time from now, you will look back on this moment with joy. You will revel in your sweet memories as your consciousness fades away. That will be the best way to die, I presume.’ Argente concluded. She thought a lot about such things. Some would call her a pessimist for it, though her thoughts were always happy. “Yea…” Dusty yawned, heading over to Silver. There, he set up bed, and placed Raikou next to Articuno, between the two of them, “Tomorrow, we can work on figuring out what these are…” He yawned again, “But for now, sweet dreams.” He cooed. And, she fell asleep much faster than he, as always. And, as had become habit to him, he held her in her sleep, and whispered into the starry night, “I love you, Silver…”
