A small little girl was approaching the forest, perched as she was upon the back of a small pony. The pony was remarkable, pure white save for his two left legs, which were black, and his mane was that of a rainbow. The girl upon his back had perfectly porcelain white skin, and pale green hair. She was clad in a pale red top, and long, flowing, seperate green sleeves. She wore a white skirt, with similar green sleeves on her legs, long enough to cover up her feet. Oddly enough, she was singing.
"Tell me the tales that to me were so dear, Long, long ago, long, long ago, Sing me the songs I delighted to hear, Long, long ago, long ago."

Accompanying her were three others. A Chimecho sat perched on her shoulder, its tail flapping in the wind. A Chikorita was sitting behind her on the Ponyta's rump. And a most peculiar Ralts was flying around her even as they ran, its pale blue wings flapping. It was as white as she was, with a blue hat-like object on its head.
"Now you are come all my grief is removed, Let me forget that so long you have roved. Let me believe that you love as you loved, Long, long ago, long ago."

The song was upbeat and cheerful in tune, which matched the serene smile on the girl's face as she sang. The words, however, were not nearly so cheerful. How could such a cheerful and catchy tune possibly hide tales of such nostalgia and longing? It managed it somehow.
"Do you remember the paths where we met? Long, long ago, long, long ago. Ah, yes, you told me you'd never forget, Long, long ago, long ago."

Surely the small girl couldn't sing her song without knowing the emotions. She had the voice of someone who was singing from the heart, able to feel the emotions of the song. But such a young, innocent girl couldn't possibly have felt such troubling emotions. After all, no one remained innocent after pollution by terrible emotions such as those.
"Then to all others, my smile you preferred, Love, when you spoke, gave a charm to each word. Still my heart treasures the phrases I heard, Long, long ago, long ago."

But still, the song remained, echoing through the woods as they moved along, slowed to a walk now for fear of rocks and roots to be tripped over. The wood was oppressive and gloomy, but her voice slipped through the gloom, still clear and crisp.
"Tho' by your kindness my fond hopes were raised, Long, long ago, long, long ago. You by more eloquent lips have been praised, Long, long ago, long, long ago."

The girl did indeed sing as though she knew the feelings, but who in the world could have hurt such an innocent youg girl so that she could sing these songs as if she felt the emotions from her very soul? And how was she singing cheerfully, if she had felt such things? This girl was very strange. Strange enough to have an entourage of strange creatures, true.
"But, by long absence your truth has been tried, Still to your accents I listen with pride, Blessed as I was when I sat by your side. Long, long ago, long ago."
