A Ponyta cantered gently but swiftly through a field filled to the brim with bright colored flowers, sending petals and pollen flying into the air around and behind him. The Ponyta was anything but ordinary. He had a pristine white coat, except for his two left legs, which were both black. His flaming tail and mane, rather than being firey reds and oranges, were rainbow colored as they flew down his back.
The girl sitting on his back was equally beautiful. Her perfectly white skin made her look like an angelic porcelain doll. Her midlength straight hair was palest green. She wore a light red tanktop, with seperate green sleeves that fell down over her hands, with sleeves on her legs to match, and a pale white skirt.
Sitting behind her was a Chikorita named Patience. She was vigilant, even while riding, determined not to let anything happen to the girl. On the girl's shoulder rested a Chimeco named Kindess, her talisman-like tail flapping in the breeze.

As they traveled along, the girl opened her mouth and let out a melody most light and beautiful. It was a song of comfort and calming.
"Sleep my child and peace attend thee, All through the night Guardian angels God will send thee, All through the night."
A calming lullaby, it seemed to be. Surely even the flowers and bees turned to listen to the beautiful song of calming. Two birds that had been bickering over a single seed paused to listen to her. Kindness joined in, this time, in a lower alto harmony. Trust's hoofbeats changed to fall to the beat, causing an easy rocking in the melody.

As they cantered along, singing their own parts and beating their own beats, everything around them seemed to pause, the calm of the song sweeping over them. All bickering and fighting stopped, and even the birds stopped pecking after the worms. A single robin came flying over towards her, attracted by the wonderous melody. She held up one hand, a single finger extended, and he landed on it softly. He looked over towards her and cocked his head, then let out a series of musical chirps, joining in the song as best he could.
"While the moon her watch is keeping All through the night. While the weary world is sleeping All through the night."

"Soft the drowsy hours are creeping Hill and vale in slumber sleeping, I my loving vigil keeping All through the night."
Some creatures curled up and went to sleep as Serenity cantered along the flowery field, singing as her namesake. It was the third song that Patience had heard her sing. How many did she know? The list seemed never ending. The first had been one of loneliness and endless love for one who was not there. The second one was of being alone forevermore, with only an ash grove for comfort. This song was one of comfort and protection. How many songs did she know, for how many different occasions and emotions?
"O'er they spirit gently stealing Visions of delight revealing Breathes a pure and holy feeling All through the night."

The flowery fields could not continue forever. Up ahead, Serenity saw a slow flowing creek in a small valley. But it was still aways ahead. With a slight up and down motion, she suggested the bird get back to his business, and helped him get back into the air.
"Love, to thee my thoughts are turning All through the night All for thee my heart is yearning, All through the night."
The fields had been predominantly purple, but there had been splashes of other colors. Serenity was sad to leave it behind, but her heart was pulling her onwards. She could always come back at a later date, if she wished to. After all, with Trust beneath her, there was no place she couldn't go.
"Though sad fate our lives may sever Parting will not last forever, There's a hope that leaves me never, All through the night."
The song came to a closing even as they reached the stream.
