Elaine suddenly realized they had traveled to the Valley... It really wasn't that hard to see. Beautiful, fragrant violet flowers covered the land, and gave it its namesake...
The gentle breeze carried the sickly sweet scent of the flowers, and Elaine inhaled, comfort shooting through her. This was where some of the best wildflowers came from, for although purple was dominant, blues,reds, pinks, and yellows found their way in.
Lissa made a small, gleeful cry and ran into the flowers, feeling them come up to her neck. Virva stayed by Elaine's side, nuzzling her, before running forward and burying her face in a rather large cluster of violets.
The temperature was perfect... In a way, it seemed almost like this was a place where time would stop, and one could spend forever wrapped in the sweet scent and gentle atmosphere.

((Because I'm stupid and forgot to say... Level 15.))
The meadow was indeed peaceful. But as the travelers moved on, an unexpected trap was sprung. A large green spider shot out of the tall flowers, launching itself towards the first creature it saw, a Charmeleon. The spider was about a foot and a half long and bright green. On its abdomen appeared to be a face, probably there to scare away aerial predators. Its legs were yellow and black striped, announcing that it was doubtlessly poisonous. It latched onto the fiery Pokemon as tightly as it could with all eight legs, and stabbed the pointy stinger at the end of its abdomen forward, attempting to stab the Charmeleon.

Fang walked alongside of the girl, off in his own mind, and perfectly content to be there. He had a virtually guaranteed ticket into wherever he could care to go. They couldn’t just throw the girl out, as there was nothing at all scary or dangerous about her. And as long as he was with her, therefore, they couldn’t throw him out anymore either. And perhaps with Ignis by his side, he could finally gain some respect. As an added bonus, if he became more well known, people might not piss themselves every time they saw him. It got really old after a while.
Ignis and Fang both nearly had a heart attack when a giant spider randomly jumped out of the grass. Ignis was no doubt more startled, because he was suddenly latched onto by the spider. He cried out loudly as the Spinarak jabbed into him with its stinger. Fang bit his lip, a habit he really needed to break, as every time he did, he drew blood. Stupid teeth. But that Pokemon was doubtlessly poisonous. Had Ignis been poisoned? Well, there was nothing Fang could to if Ignis was poisoned, really, as he didn’t have any antidotes with him. So he would simply fight.
“Ember, Ignis!” yelled Fang. It was point blank range, thanks to the attack of the Spinarak. Could it possibly get out of the way in time? He whipped out his Pokedex. Bug type. Perfect! The Ember would be super effective!

Elaine felt slightly exasperated. She knew he would probably want the pokemon, but she wanted a bit of the action sometimes... She had to train, too! "Lissa, Virva. Out of the way." She said irritably, and they came running back to her. She squatted down and scratched Lissa behind the ears, whispering softly.
Virva crawled into Elaine's lap and peeked from there to the battle, being afraid of giant spiders. She was happy she wasn't battling, even if Elaine wanted to. Virva could get poisoned, or worse, faint! They were only halfway through their journey to the next town...There was no way she was going to faint so early.

The Spinarak would have smiled, if it could, with grim satisfaction when it felt its stinger sink into the enemy Pokemon. That grim cheer faded immediately, however, when the angry Pokemon began fighting back. The Spinarak attempted to dislodge itself from the Charmeleon, but with no avail. It couldn’t get off in time. It screamed out an alien cry as it felt its underside get badly burned. It flipped off the Charmeleon and on to the ground, twitching slightly, before scrambling to its feet. That had HURT! Fire was not good for bug Pokemon.... But it couldn’t give up now! It raised it’s abdomen so that it could be clearly seen, and then shifted its muscles so that the face on its abdomen twisted and contorted, like something out of a nightmare. Then it took advantage of the momentary stun it would cause to shoot out webs that would spin around the Charmeleon and begin to constrict tightly.

Ignis grinned. The ember had worked perfectly, at the Spinarak looked severely weakened. Maybe another Ember... But then, the Spinarak seemed to partially recover, and gave him the flash of a seriously scary face. He tried to act like his heart wasn’t pounding out of his chest, but it didn’t work too well. In his momentary pause, the Spinarak shot out what seemed to be web. It wrapped around him tightly and began to squeeze. It didn’t really hurt that much, but it made it rather hard to move. He took in a deep breath to shoot another ember, but was cut short by Fang.
“No! You’ll kill it if you do that, and I want it,” said the black skinned boy firmly. “Use Metal Claw to get yourself out, and to weaken it.” Ignis scowled angrily at the idea of once again not being able to finish the Pokemon off, but followed the instructions. His claws glinted like steel, and he tore them up through the web like it was cotton candy. Then he shot forward and swung powerfully at the Spinarak.

The Spinarak cursed in its own language as the enemy Charmeleon sliced through its webs. It was in trouble now. The Charmeleon charged, and the Spinarak knew there was little to nothing it could do. It cried out in pain when the sharp claws sliced into it, and went flying backwards. It landed on its back, where it curled its legs up and decided to play dead. It felt like it would be dead before long anyway. Maybe this would keep the Charmeleon from finishing it off. It could only hope, and lay there, right next to passing out.

((Since I’m Rping both, I’m just gonna finish it. XD))
Ignis smiled as its claws collided with the Spinarak and sent it flying. Now THAT was a satisfying feeling. It wanted to shoot an ember to finish it off, but Fang called him back sharply, causing him to scowl again. Would he EVER be allowed to finish an opponent?
Fang fingered yet another Pokeball. This time, he intended to keep the spider Pokemon all to himself. He needed a companion other than the irritable Ignis, anyway. He enlarged the ball with a touch of the button, then brought his arm back and threw the Pokeball as hard as he could. It slammed into the Spinarak and began to wiggle. He held his breath, apprehensive. Would it break out? Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle... And then it was still. The glowing stopped as well. Fang let out a quiet ‘yesssss’ in victory, then grinned as the Pokeball flew back to his hand. Another Pokemon, and this one was HIS.
He opened the Pokeball again, and the Spinarak came back out. “OK, Spinarak. Your name is Aranea from now on.” The Spinarak clicked his mandibles together in way of response.

Elaine smiled as he caught the bug pokemon. She stood and walked to his side, placing a hand on his arm in congratulations. She then removed it, and then began to walk forwards, with Lissa and Virva walking by her side.
"Great catch...Mind if I can battle something? I'm sure Ignis is tired, and you sure wore Aranea out... It'll give them time to rest, you know?" She said softly, keeping her green, sparkling eyes forward. Her tail swayed softly as she walked, showing the lazy atmosphere was beginning to become absorbed into her attitude...
She stopped abruptly and bent down at a particularly colorful bunch of flowers, and began to pick a few for drying. She never knew why she felt a need to dry flowers, and she also didn't know why they tasted good...But she tried not to eat them in public. Besides, it was more of a treat than anything...
The placed them in her bag for later, blushing slightly.

Fang grinned. He was more than satisfied with his new Pokemon. It would certainly come in handy if he ever ran into a ground or water Pokemon that Ignis couldn't fight. Between the two of them, he would be able to take most Pokemon thrown at him.
He nodded to Elaine. "Certainly. I merely desired to own this particular Pokemon," he said grinning at Aranea. Indeed, he looked forward to battling with the spider. However, both Ignis and Aranea were worn out. Elaine was right, it was best to give them some rest and let them recover.
Fang stopped himself from either sighing or snickering. Picking flowers. What a typically female thing to do. He himself, of course, felt no such inclination to pick flowers, or even to pause to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Disinterested, that's what he was. It simply wasn't his kind of landscape. Give him a barren, scarred wasteland any day over this overly-colored flower field.

Elaine glanced behind her at him, and prayed he wasn't watching. She just couldn't resist just one... So, she slipped out a particularly large violet and began nibbling on the petals, tail suddenly beginning to wag. Oh, she was indeed happy here. Not even Fang could ruin the mood of this wonderful place... She told herself she'd have to make her breeding establishment here.
Lissa glanced at Elaine, and then did a double-take. Was her new owner eating flowers?! That was beyond strange...Well, at least she wasn't brutal. She could have her weird little quirks, and Lissa would be safe from the maniac who tried to kill her. She could only imagine Elaine must have begged him...
Virva didn't really care Elaine was eating flowers, and instead, fell back to try and talk to Ignis. {Hello...I'm Virva. Looks like you and your human have a good bond already, like Elaine and I.}

Fang blinked a few times. Was that girl eating flowers? That was a little bit odd. Fang couldn't partake of anything but meat himself. It was probably a side effect from being fused with a Pokemon. Maybe she was feeling sick? He didn't know that either Growlithe or Eevee ate plants, unless they were feeling sick. Or, it could just be a quirk. But it didn't really matter one way or another. He just wanted to get out of the overly-cheerful place. It was even worse than the green covered hills they had just left. Wasn't there anything a bit DARKER around? He was getting very tired of the sunlight.
Ignis and Aranea were eyeing each other cautiously. Fang didn't really care if they didn't get along, as long as they didn't maul each other. Ignis probably wouldn't get along very well with anyone, actually. Maybe Aranea would be a bit more sociable, although Fang doubted it.
Ignis seemed as though he was going to completely ignore the Squirtle for a while, then finally responded. {A bond? Don't make me laugh. He tells me to attack, I attack. That sums up any semblance of a 'bond.' We might have.}

Taking the hint, Virva moved away from Ignis to Aranea. {Hey... I'm Virva, that girl human's pokemon.} Virva wanted to make some sort of friends, so if they were traveling for a long time, they wouldn't be at eachother's throats.
Mmm. Elaine thought cheerfully, continuing to nibble on the flower. Even the storebought flowers from here weren't as good as the fresh ones... Suddenly, she felt the urge to release Nicker...That way, he could get to know Lissa.
When Nicker was out, Lissa ran up to him and began to chitter. Within a few seconds, the two would chat back and forth quietly, as if they were talking about some subject they didn't want someone to hear...And judging from the glances to Fang, it was about him.

Fang sighed, then plopped down in the grass, causing an eruption of pollen and petals. He might as well relax while waiting for that silly girl to finish picking and eating flowers. The sun was warm, and that felt good, but it was bright, and he couldn't say he liked that very much at all. He hated both sunlight and cold these days, which was one reason he always wore the jacket.
Aranea glanced over at the Squirtle who had abandoned trying to talk to Ignis, probably wisely. Hadn't that Pokemon been curled up in her shell when he had attacked? Oh well. It wouldn't hurt to have a water Pokemon friend if Ignis ever came after him. {Yo. According to weirdo over there,} Aranea said, gesturing towards Fang. {I'm called Aranea now.}
