Dusty scowled... this wasn't working quite the way he'd planned. He knew Abra wasn't quite as fast as that darned firey lizard. They were not in a good position at the moment. Not good at all... But, Abra wasn't as slow as she seemed. She knew exactly what to do... Teleport. The one thing that all Abras knew how to do. And, just before the claws could hit her, she did just that. "Poof" and she was gone. And, just like that, it was standing behind that odd tailed boy. Sure, her physical reflexes lagged a bit, but her mental prowess was beyond most others here. The curse of a pyschic type, but she had no room to want to complain. Aaah! There was that stick again! She gave it a gesture, and it was in the air again. Her psychic ability had been trained well, and picking things up wasn't a big deal to her. Again, she flung it in the Charmander's direction. This all happened so fast! She had teleported, and began throwing things in such a quick movement... it was hard to say if Ignis had even noticed her moving!

Elaine glanced down to the Zigzagoon, and her eyes filled with pity. She slowly reached out her hand and began to pet the prickly fur, whispering softly,"It's okay...They're not trying to hurt you..." She began to rub the Zigzagoon's ears, trying to calm it, while her other hand slipped in her bag and pulled out a pokeball.
She held it out for the Zigzagoon to sniff. She didn't know if it understood her speech... She hoped it did. She'd noticed the sneezing, and the way it cried... Perhaps it was sick, or had a cold... She thought it should be taken to a pokemon center, but perhaps that was just her motherly instinct towards pokemon. "You would be safe from them if you got in here..." She said softly.
She continued to pet it, and set down the pokeball so the Zigzagoon could get a little more comfortable with it around.

Ignis blinked as the Abra suddenly vanished. His claw swiped through mid-air, and before he had a chance to react, he felt something solid collide with his back. He was sent flying by the stick, and when he finally skidded to a stop, he didn't look to happy about it. Without waiting for a command, he spun around and began charging the Abra on four legs, running at a swift speed.
"Scratch!" yelled Fang as he jumped out of the way. It was probably unneccesary at this point, but it couldn't hurt to get the Pokemon used to following commands.
Ignis drew back his paw again, eyes flashing with anger. This time, he was ready if the Abra reacted fast enough to teleport. He was getting a bit tired of being banged around when the Pokemon itself wasn't all that strong. He wasn't sure how many more hits he could take, but he hoped that the Abra could take less.

The zigzagoon stuck its head out to sniff the odly colored ball. As it sniffed it, something scared it, and its ears pressed against its head, and it slowly began to back up. It took deep breaths, trying not to become alarmed by the new items. But then, it felt something hit it in the back, something from the Abra's Teleport move. It screamed in fear and agony, not wanting to become harmed.
It looked at the pokeball, then the girl, she said he'd be alot safer if he got in the pokeball. He sniffed it again, alarmed at the new object before him.

There was no way in hell that Abra could teleport again. She needed too much energy to do it. And so, she was hit. A little high pitched whine escaped her, but that was all. She wasn't down yet, but she was hurt, and she cried. The sound was amost more than a kind hearted human could bear... She didn't want to fight anymore! She didn't want to play these stupid games anymore! She growled one last time before starting to toddle away from Charmander in pursuit of Dusty. Dusty couldn't take it. His precious little friend was hurt! And so, he called out, "Alright, you won. I don't have anything to give you for it, but you got me..." Dusty said... oh how he loathed losing. "I don't want her to be too upset, or she will never listen to me again." That wasn't the truth of course.. he just hated to see her sad. He had confidince in the fact that he could beat this Ignis, but he decided not to. Slowly, he walked away, the Abra he never called by name in tow. He would have to go to that darned crowded shop if he were to get anywhere in life. And, that was it... the end of the battle, and the end of Dusty's fustration toward the devil man.

Elaine heard the end of the battle, but was too focused on the sick Zigzagoon...She petted it more, saying softly,"See? It's not going to hurt you... If you would just let me get you in here, then you wouldn't be sick, or hurt..." So saying, she very gently tapped the Zigzagoon with the pokeball.
Hoping it would work, with good intentions the reason for the hopeful capture, she watched the pokeball to see if the Zigzagoon would panic, burst out, and run away. She hoped not, for even though she'd just met it... She felt slightly fond of it. Would it be her first captured pokemon? Would this be the second step of her journey?
For now, she could only watch with bated breath, and hope.

Fang sighed in relief. Ignis was panting heavily. The next move would have finished him for sure. He frowned when he heard that the boy had nothing to give however. He had rather hoped to get something out of the battle. But ah well. Now he could move on with his life. The Pokemart would be a good place to start, but who knew whether or not he was going to be chased out again?
Then his eyes fell on the girl who was now attempted to catch the Zigzagoon that had been unfortunately smacked by the flying stick. Perfect. If he came in with her, no, behind her, there would be nothing they could do... He hoped. With his luck, they would probably think that he'd kidnapped her and planned to eat her or something similarly ridiculous. But it was worth a shot. So, he sat back and waited to see if the girl's attempt to catch the Pokemon would be sucessful or not. Meanwhile, he took a look at Ignis.
"Are you still in one piece, Ignis?" he asked with a slight smile. "You took quite a beating there." The Charmander merely scowled angrily. Fang knew he would have to get him to a Pokecenter, though.

It looked up at her then down at the ball, once more. It hissed at the ball, and nudged it with its paw... it didn't want to go in that thing just yet... it wanted to be free. And so, it saw the Squirtle near by and lunged itself at it with a tackle attack. It hissed, waiting to see the reply of the Squirtle who was attacked without warning. Its tail wagged, and it sneezed, it appeared easy to take down in battle.

Virva was knocked off of Elaine's lap, and quickly popped out of her shell to assume her fighting stance. Her eyes were wide, and shock had set in. Without waiting for Elaine's command, Virva shot forward in her own tackle attack.
Elaine stood up and backed away two steps from them, her ears shooting back and her tail swaying. She still had the pokeball in her hand, and would throw it soon... She couldn't pull herself to faint the pokemon, but she could get it weaker so she could get it help. She had high hopes, wanting badly to catch this pokemon.

Fang watched for a few moments as the Squirtle, who had seemed rather cowardly, picked up a fighting attitude when it was neccesary. He wanted to battle again, but he knew that Ignis would lose terribly to a water Pokemon. Speaking of Ignis, the little Charmander was looking pretty beat up. Cement and sticks would do that to you, Fang supposed.
Fang picked up Ignis, despite his loud protests. "You're hurt, stupid, and if you try to walk, you'll make it worse." Hoping he could move quickly enough to get back before the girl finished, he sprinted over to the Pokecenter and in the doors.

The zigzagoon felt the tackle attack blow its body to the ground. The Squirtle was stronger then him, and it was very obvious. But, with high hopes of being able to be set free, the zigzagoon foolishly chose to use growl, which, gave very little affect to the fortunate Squirtle. With heavy breaths, the Zigzagoon waited for the Squirtle to return an attack... for, the Squirtle appeared to be strong, and someone who was good enough to beat the zigzagoon easily...

Again, without a command from Elaine, Virva shot forward in yet another tackle attack. If it would hit, the Squirtle would back up and sit as Elaine would throw the pokeball in her hand at the weakened Zigzagoon.
Should the attack succeed, and Elaine throw the pokeball, both she and Virva would put one hand over their mouth and hope for the best. Virva because she wanted some friend, Elaine because she wanted to make sure the Zigzagoon got healed and better. Besides, her Squirtle couldn't hang on forever... Someone would have to give.
She hoped, for the sake of everyone, that the Zigzagoon would give.
If the attack would not succeed, Virva would prepare for yet another tackle, frustration coming in waves off of her.

Fang came back out of the Pokecenter just in time, it seemed. Ignis was fully healed and back to his normal violent self. Fang paused to watch the fight finish. The Zigzagoon was clearly exhausted, and the Squirtle had barely even been effected by the growl.
He stopped, close, but still far enough away not to be imposing. It occured to him that he might wind up giving the girl a small heart attack, looking the way he did, but hopefully, she would at least be civil enough to say hello instead of pissing herself. Either one seemed equally possible, however, as the girl seemed slightly skitish.
The Squirtle was doing good, however. It didn't look like it'd be giving in any time soon, especially considering the condition of the panicked Zigzagoon.

The Zigzagoon felt the blow against it's side once more. It fell to the ground, its breathing still staying steady, but it didn't appear to be able to get up. It was weak, now was the time to capture it, now was the time to strike. But, before anything could happen to it, it moaned that same cry of fear, and once again, it was scratchy and easy to be sorry for. It then shut it's eyes and waited for the worst- death.

Elaine threw her pokeball then, praying it would work. The Zigzagoon didn't get up... It didn't seem to be fainted, and she knew it wasn't dead. She did desperately want to get this pokemon healed... It was sick, and now thanks to her, it was greatly weakened.
As Virva prepared for a final tackle, just in case the pokeball burst open,Elaine noticed the other watching her. She immediately dropped her head, feeling bashful she was being watched...She must be terrible, after all...It was her first time. She'd never even commanded her own pokemon.
She took a deep breath and raised her head. If the pokeball would be sitting still, she would run towards it and pick it up, as well as her squirtle. She would then glance to the other, her voice small. "If...If you wouldn't m-mind h-helping me..."

Fang watched with little to no emotion as the Zigzagoon was felled. Even when it cried out, it didn't bother him in the least. Pity wasn't in his list of possible emotions, that was for sure. He leaned against one of the buildings and waited for the young girl to throw her Pokeball and get it over with. Then he could approach her. A bit of charm would get her at the very least to walk into the store with him, and if all went well, that would prevent the old lady from chasing him out again.
The Pokeball closed around the Pokemon, and began to wiggle. He watched it intently, until his concentration was broken by a quiet voice. He glanced up at her. How brave, to be addressing him first, he thought dryly. The last girl her age he had been near had pulled out a crucifix and waved it at him.
"Most certainly," he agreed. "How may I be of assistance to you?" His voice was clear and had a tilt of honesty, as if every word that dripped from his mouth was completely and totally true, in contrast to what one would believe from his looks. The two slightly balanced each other out, although sometimes his voice led people to believe him even less, when coupled with his appearance.

The Zigzagoon was swept up in the pokeball. It tried to fight back, but couldn't really. It shook the ball once... then sat still... Soon enough, it attempted again, and this time acctually shook the ball again! Then, everything was still, the pokemon had given up, it was too weak, and now, it was not free. It had an owner, and now, would be a pet...

Elaine's eyes were filled with pity as she picked up the pokeball, before answering the other. "If you would...Would you accompany m-me to the po-pokemon center?" It was clear she was nervous when she spoke to him, but whether it was from him or how she normally was would be impossible to tell. After all, she hadn't spoken to anyone around these parts...
"I-I'm Elaine...N-Nice outfit." She tried to strike up a small conversation as she put away the pokeball with the Zigzagoon and went over to Virva. She looked up at Elaine, happy her battle was won, before suddenly noticing Fang and running to hide behind Elaine. The battle was over... No more...
Elaine patted the top of Virva's head, a small smile on her face as her tail went to swaying.

Fang looked rather satisfied as the Pokemon was finally caught. Now he could finally get on with his... what? Accompany her to the... Why did she need accompanyment? Was she going to get assaulted somewhere between here and the building half a block away? Well, a little patience couldn't harm him. He nodded.
"Certainly." His eyebrow rose at her next comment, however. Clothes? As if that was the first thing she'd noticed about him. Ah well. He supposed it might be considered rude to say something like 'DUDE! What happened to your FACE?'. Not that it had stopped anyone in the past. "Thank you. Nice Squirtle," he responded, then gestured to Ignis. "I have a Charmander, myself. Nice job, catching that Zigzagoon." By this time, they had reached the Pokecenter. He opened the door and stepped to the side, holding it open for her and gesturing her inside.
